The US Mission commenced its 5th Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) in Nigeria program, in collaboration with Ascend Studios . This program is aimed at training 120 business women. AWE revealed that the program would give women entrepreneurs the ability, proficiency, groups, and expertise required to start and scale profitable businesses.
It added that the candidates were picked from over 3,000 competitors from all the sectors of the country. These women have ongoing aimed at either technology, agriculture or innovative development.
AWE has in the past helped about 25,000 females across 80 nations in the last 4 years which included about 770 Nigerian business women. The candidates will become part of a solid AWE network that assisted in advancing their businesses and creating opportunities.
The 6 weeks program will be virtual and combined with other virtual business courses through the DreamBuilder platform, created by Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management, plus coaching from established female entrepreneurs.
David Greene, who spoke at the commencement of the online program, Chargé d’Affaires, praised the female candidates and advised them to appreciate the knowledge gained and utilize it effectively in advancing their lives, expanding their businesses, and investing in the development of the country.
