Telecommunications company, MTN GlobalConnect has declared two Managing Directors’ designations for their operations in Uganda and Nigeria.
The Managing Director position will be taken up by Juliet Nsubuga for Uganda branch which is to take effect on the 1st of April this year while the Managing Director for the Nigerian branch of the company will be taken up by Josephine Sarouk, to be effected on the 1st of March, also this year.
The CEO of MTN GlobalConnect, Frederic Schepens welcomed the newly appointed leaders into the team, looks forward to their intellectual impartation based on their experience in the telecommunications sectors over the years and expressed his anticipation on working with the new leaders as the company develops.
Their experience over the years:
With over twenty years experience in the telecommunications circle and her dated position as General Manager of Wholesale and Carrier Services for the Ugandan branch, Nsubuga holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters in Economic Policy and Planning, Makerere University. In addition to the aforementioned, she is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom.
Sarouk has over 14 years experience in the telecoms sector, focusing on ICT, Enterprise Sales, Wholesale, Digital and Marketing. She was also the General Manager of MTN Nigeria, since 2017, where she joined from in Regional Operations of Lagos and South West. Sarouk holds a Bachelor Hons in Journalism and Law, University of West London and a postgraduate certificate in Business Administration and Management, University of Wales.
These designations create more progress in MTN GlobalConnect’s change journey which heralded the recent appointment of its Kenyan branch Managing Director, Silvia Anampiu and Zambian branch’s Managing Director position for Lillian Mutwalo.
MTN GlobalConnect’s ambition to shoot up fixed connectivity and global mobile services via wholesale circumstances, Nsubuga and Sarouk’s annexation to the company’s form female leadership seats will guarantee the well positioning of MTN GlobalConnect, via its #GrowAfrica, to match the expected transformational growth in data traffic in Africa which will in essence, speed up Africa’s digital economy.
