Meta’s 2Africa undersea cable is anticipated to arrive Nigeria in February. Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, verified this in Lagos at the launch of the new American Corner in Lekki.
Blinken recognized the cable project as one of the numerous ways American businesses are assisting President Bola Tinubu in achieving his objective of creating one million digital employment. The 45,000-kilometer 2Africa undersea cable is marketed as the world’s largest undersea cable.
When completed, the deep-sea cable project would encircle Africa, with stops in Lagos and Kwa Ibo, a river town in Nigeria’s southeast.
