MASTERS ENERGY OIL AND GAS LIMITED EMBARKS ON $500 MILLION GAS STORAGE PROJECT

Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited has embarked on a $500 million gas storage project in accordance with the federal government’s gas infrastructure development plan. The project includes the construction of a 20,000 MT gas storage facility in Port Harcourt, over 200 gas refilling stations, over 2000 retail gas exchange stations, bulk distribution trucks for LPG transportation, and a specialized coastal vessel.

Patience Dappa, Group Managing Director, Masters Energy Group, said during a groundbreaking ceremony for the gas infrastructure projects in Port Harcourt that the company has a strong belief in Nigeria and is committed to investing more in the country’s key infrastructure.

Dappa stated that the facility would generate jobs and enormous auxiliary businesses within the oil and gas eco-system for the country’s teeming population, as well as favorably contribute to the economic change of the host town and Nigeria at large.

“In line with the federal government’s gas infrastructure development plan, we have decided to embark on this audacious $500 million project that includes 20,000MT gas storage here in Energy city, over 200 gas refilling outlets, over 2000 retail gas exchange outlets, bulk distribution trucks for LPG transportation, and a dedicated vessel for coastal transport,” Dappa explained.

“Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited was incorporated in Nigeria in 2005, and we have since expanded and diversified to assume leading positions not only in the oil and gas sector, but also in Power, EPC, Petrochemicals, Aviation, dredging and shore, Shipping and Marine businesses,” she said.

Dappa emphasized the project’s uniqueness in that Masters Energy will be the first to combine domestic and industrial gas usage infrastructure. She further mentioned that when completed, this terminal will have a fully automatic bottle filling machine (carousel) with a 1,200 bottling capacity per hour.
