Following its performance in 2023, the Computer Warehouse Group has announced its growth strategy for 2024 to supersede that of the previous year. CWG was one of the companies that offered foreign investors a high return stock on investment in the Nigerian Exchange Limited in terms of capital gain in 2023.
At the close of 2023 trading, CWG recorded over 800 percent year-to-date returns. It opened trading at N0.92 per unit in January and closed trading on the NGX at N8.30 per unit.Â
CWG Plc Group Chief Operating Officer Afolabi Sobande, at the 19th Annual General Meeting, outlined the company’s growth, emphasizing the expansion of its product portfolio and the initiation of new technological solutions to meet customers’ needs.Â
Leveraging emerging technologies and industry insights will strengthen CWG’s position in the marketplace, aiding it in driving sales and increasing revenue growth. Â
Sobande said, “In its market penetration, the company plans to expand its presence in both existing and emerging markets, capitalizing on opportunities for business development and strategic partnerships. Through targeted marketing initiatives and proactive engagement with stakeholders, the company aims to capture market share and increase brand visibility.”
CWG states that it is committed to investing in talent development initiatives related to human capital development. It also mentions that it will streamline processes, improve resource allocation, and, prioritize operational efficiency and cost optimization across its business operations operations to enhance productivity and maximize profitability.
In its annual report, CWG recorded an increase in revenue appreciation from N14.21bn to N23.53bn and a rise in profit tax to N576.08m, higher than N476.80m in 2022.
