Ghana Grant Australian Company Lithium Exploration License

Ghana has granted Atlantic Lithium Limited, an Australia-based lithium-focused exploration and development company, a license to kickstart a lithium operation in Senya Beraku, 70 kilometres from the company’s flagship Ewoyaa project within its East African Cape Coast portfolio.

The first stage of the exploration will start with geochemical soil sampling, geological mapping, and rock chip gathering over the tenement’s 82.11 square kilometres.
Atlantic Lithium Limited, an Australian company, released a statement stating: “Senya Beraku also sits 20km east of the known Egyasimanku Hill-Winneba spodumene pegmatite field, where coarse-grained spodumene pegmatites have been observed.”

Furthermore, the company’s executive chairman, Neil Hebert, stated that the license granted to carry out lithium exploration in Senya Beraku signifies a new and untapped start of exploration upside potential.

He added, “With no lithium exploration having been conducted previously over the license, we are pleased to now be on the ground undertaking soil sampling, mapping, and rock chip sampling, with the view to identifying new anomalies.”

While focusing on the Ewoyaa Lithium Project, Herbert mentioned the unexplored potential in Ghana’s untapped tenure package. He also mentioned that the company’s Ewoyaa mine is the third largest hard-rock lithium project on the continent.

While focused primarily on advancing the Ewoyaa Lithium Project through permitting towards construction, we recognize the potential value to be delivered from the continued exploration of our large, still vastly unexplored tenure package in Ghana,” Neil Hebert said.
In addition to existing listings on the Australian Securities Exchange and the London Stock Exchange’s AIM board, Atlantic Lithium recently released a list of all its outstanding shares on the Ghana stock exchange market in compliance with Ghana’s license requirements.
