Ms. Joan Hodgins, Diageo’s Global Talent Director, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors by Guinness Nigeria Plc, beginning July 1, 2023.
Mr. Dayalan Nayager, a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, also announced his retirement ending June 30, 2023.
The business stated that the Board changes are in response to recent developments within the organization’s parent company Diageo Plc, which have enabled Mr Dayalan Nayager to accept additional duties at the Executive Group Management level.
It was stated that Ms Hodgins’ appointment will enhance the Board due to the significant experience she brings to the table. John Musunga, Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria Plc, commented on Ms Hodgins’ appointment:

In what was made know to Business World Africa, Ms Hodgins would join the Guinness Nigeria Board on July 1, 2023, and that the necessary notification of her appointment, as well as Mr Nayager’s retirement, has been sent to the Nigeria Exchange in accordance with current requirements.
