The Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, also known as Vaxzevria, is being withdrawn worldwide due to concerns over a viable, rare, and dangerous life-threatening side effect.
This information circulated the months after the pharmaceutical giant confessed in a court document the viability and likelihood of the vaccine causing a dangerous side effect.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the company withdrew its marketing authorization, submitted on March 7, 2024, and took effect, disclosing that the vaccine can no longer serve humanity in the European Union.
After an in-depth scrutiny, results showed that an infrequent side effect involved blood clots and low blood platelet counts. The results also show that the vaccine can lead to Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS), which has been reported to be associated with at least 81 fatalities in the UK, along with numerous severe injuries.
However, a similar application to withdraw its marketing authorization will commence in the UK and other countries worldwide.
The then-said Covid-19 vaccine jab, which Boris Johnson heralded as a “triumph for British science” and credited with saving more than six million lives, has now become a life-threatening virus.
The manufacturer added that the production and supply of the vaccine have been halted, saying it has been superseded by updated vaccines that tackle new variants.
The statement read, “We are incredibly proud of Vaxzevria’s role in ending the global pandemic. According to independent estimates, over 6.5 million lives were saved in the first year of use alone, and over three billion doses were supplied globally.
We will now work with regulators and our partners to align on a clear path forward to conclude this chapter and significantly contribute to the Covid-19 pandemic.”
However, AstraZeneca has been subpoenaed by over 50 individuals in a High Court case who claim to have suffered from TTS, as well as grieving family members.
