WORLD BANK DEMANDS THAT INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECT BE COMPLETED QUICKLY IN WESTERN UGANDA

The World Bank has ordered contractors in Western Uganda to complete their projects. Mr. Stephen John Ajalu, the World Bank’s senior urban development specialist, noted in a remark that contractors must concluded the road construction work within the stipulated schedule.

The construction is happening in cities of Western Uganda, particularly in Kabale and Mbarara.

Mr. Sentaro Byamugisha, Kabale Municipal Mayor, petitioned the World Bank to urge for the quick completion of projects it sponsors during the evaluation procedure.

Consequently, he stressed the need for contractors to hold their work with utmost importance and press for the quick completion of all the prevalent civil projects financed by USMID-AF.

Besides the road construction, the World Bank incentives have been used to carry out diverse projects in Ugandan cities and districts that receives refugees.
